Entry 3 - Greenland

I found it! Floating in the middle of a sea of ice was a cozy little study - complete with fireplace, lounge, phone and computer of all things!! There was also this strange clock on the mantle depicting a dinosaur if you can believe it.

How all the electrical machinery worked out there in the middle of nowhere was beyond me - until i discovered the secret. Below the ice were wires travelling down into the deeps. When I looked closely at the computer I discovered that the 'iceberg' was actually fake - and that there was an underwater home far below. Picking up the phone I discovered that I was immediately connected to the aquatic base and they promised to send a mini sub straight away to take me down and meet a strange man who lived beneath the frigid blue waters. His name, they said, was simply Nemo.

I must say that it is so extremely cold that I really can not understand why this place was named Greenland! I am very glad that I packed my extra warm clothes for just such an emergency - and of course that the fire was lit for me to keep warm until my hosts arrived! Until then I took the opportunity to look out onto the vast forest of ice that surrounded me. It was truly a spectacular view.
